Buttercrunch or Butter Crunch Lettuce (Lactuca sativa) is a popular Bibb type butterhead lettuce. Developed in the 1950's and was a 1963 All American Selection. The small, tight and compact heads make great container plants. Mildly sweet with a delicious buttery flavor. Small heads can be utilized as a single serving for salad.
